I wear orthotics / have been told not to go barefoot
I HAVE PLANTAR FASCIITIS / WEAR ORTHOTICS / HAVE BEEN TOLD NOT TO
Of course, if you have foot problems and just throw away your orthotics, slip on your minimal shoes and walk all day, they’re going to hurt. They’ll do more damage than good. So if you are going to transition it has to be very very gradual.
Seek advice from your medical caregiver, but make sure you talk to experts open to the idea of barefoot as well as those who aren't... so you can make informed decisions about your own body and health.
There are some great transitional / 'half-way' shoes like Altras - checkout our Pinterest board for more ideas here https://www.pinterest.co.uk/mutusystem/transitional-shoes/
